In March, we honor St. Joseph, the quiet and faithful guardian of Jesus and Mary. Though Scripture records none of his spoken words, his actions speak powerfully. Joseph trusted God completely—even when the path ahead was unclear. He protected his family, worked diligently, and listened carefully for God’s voice.

In a world that values noise and recognition, St. Joseph teaches us the strength of quiet obedience, humble service, and steadfast faith. As we journey through Lent, may we imitate his trust in God’s plan and his courageous love for his family.

Dear St. Joseph,
You cared for Jesus and Mary with love and strength.
Help our family to trust God the way you did.
Teach us to work hard, love deeply,
and listen carefully to God’s voice.
Guide us and protect us,
especially when things feel uncertain.
Amen.

Family Activity: Build & Pray

St. Joseph was a carpenter. This month, do a simple “building” project together as a family:

• Build a small birdhouse or simple wood craft

• Bake bread from scratch
   
• Or create a “family mission statement” poster
   

While you work, talk about how St. Joseph built not just furniture—but a home filled with faith and love. Discuss how your family can “build” patience, kindness, and trust this Lent.
